Why Date Black People?
My friends tell me that they only date black people because they only want to be with a black person. It is not like they do not find other races and background attractive, they just prefer to only date black people. My friends are both men and women and some of them decide to only date black people because they just are plain attracted, but others are just stubborn. For example, my friend Christine has this fascination with black people and only wants to date black people. She is not black herself, but for some reason that she cannot explain, she has this complex where she thinks black people are better than any other type of person. I find that this is unhealthy and this is why.
Christine is being closed minded because there could be other men that she can be compatible with. In fact, there are other men who find her attractive, but she does not give them the time of day. She even tells them they she only dates black men and closes the door before they open their mouth. I understand if you are attracted to black people and prefer them over any other race. But it just sounds so closed minded to not even give other men a chance just because of the color of their skin. What are your thoughts about this situation?

If you are attracted to black men and women, that’s perfectly fine. You can choose to date anybody you want, but immediately shutting out people is an ignorant thing to do. Even if you become friends with someone first, you can see how they are and that they can be a really good people if you just give them a shot. I have no qualms against people who are attracted to a certain type. That’s the way that we are hard wired. But not giving someone a chance is rude and ignorant. That is just my two cents.
